Be prepared to wait. Guy at the counter said it may be 10 minutes for someone to load an order of crushrrun. I said fine. After 20 minutes I see a guy loads a truck full of mulch then gets out of the backhoe and drives away. Another 10 minutes a guy walks past me and says hes got to get manure from the back pasture before he carload my stuff (which would take less than 3 minutes) That was 10 minutes ago. I wish I packed a lunch. I think I could have saved time using my own shovel. 2 people were in the store. Price was okay, but now I think the delivery fee would have been worth it to get my hour back. Prettiest day of the year so far and Im sitting in the parking lot. Update: it ended up being just under an hour from start to finish. They had a lot of rain and another guy got stuck way out in the back field. This is probably an unusual occurrence and normal service is probably better.

Im not one to write reviews, but the experience Ive had with specificity Hanover Veg farms in office customer services, is horrible. I ordered 5 yards of their screened top soil mixed with hummus and compost, and what I received was FAR from that. It is almost all chunks of dense dense clay, and sand, at best its fill dirt. I called trying to explain to Megan that I am a seasoned gardener. She tells me its not potting soil its top soil, like I have no idea what Ive ordered and dont know what Im doing. Ive ordered top soil from Cross Creek, and other local companys and have always gotten beautiful topsoil, ready to amend with my own compost and put in my beds. I did a trial run with this topsoil because I was extremely skeptical just by looking at it, and lo and behold, it turns into a hard rock when you add compost and water. And the 3-5 inch chunks of clay are almost impossible to break up. Clay and sand makes concrete. This is not top soil, the customer service I received was so terrible, condescending, and rude. Im so disappointed, and now Im just out 250$, and have a giant pile of fill dirt I cant do anything with.

Completely overpriced cover charge. 20$ per person to just enter and that does not include a pumpkin is insane for their October weekend events. Everything else on-site is also an additional charge. Will be going elsewhere next time.

Very disappointing experience. Visited Saturday, 10/21, arriving at 4:00. They advertise a 6:00 closing time, so we thought we would have enough time to pick pumpkins and enjoy the other advertised attractions; inflatables, corn maze, face painting and petting zoo, just to name a few. We decided to do the hayride/pumpkin picking first. We had typical waiting times for the hayride, nothing ridiculous. Got back to the from the field around 5:35. Upon arriving, we found 99% of the food trucks closed. The inflatables were deflated. The animals were no longer in the pens. The handful of remaining people were headed towards the exit, as all the attractions I could see were closed. No face painting, no pony rides, no anything. Needless to say, we left very disappointed. I decided to message the farm and explain our experience in the hopes that they would want to rectify the situation and make it right. I asked for a discounted rate to return and experience the other attractions, excluding pumpkins, as we already had those. The reply I received began with, That is not true. They went on to claim that they had to ask people to leave at 6:05, as there were people still on a jump pad(that I never saw). The farm went on to claim customers had opportunities to have the same experience whether they arrived at 10am or 5:30pm. I sincerely wish I had video/photos of the state of the property at 5:35, when we got off the hayride. It was a ghost town as far as attractions and vendors went. Not only did we have a less than satisfactory experience, I was also insulted by whomever replied to my message. Unfortunately, they did not identify themselves. Needless to say, we will not patronize their business in the future and strongly suggest you spend your hard earned money elsewhere. There are plenty of options for pumpkin picking and Hanover Vegetable Farm is NOT the place to go.

Recently attended the fall festival. It was not as advertised. Large portion of it was bad food, alcoholic drinks and activities for kids. If youre not there for the alcohol (like me) there is little to do. And poorly organized so that its hard to buy tickets online (their website didnt work) so you have to stand outside for an hour. Enjoyed the hay ride, pumpkins, the New York food truck lemonade, but will not be returning.
