Our daughter, who has special needs, required passport photos, a task we anticipated could be challenging. However, Jasmin, their talented photographer, proved us wrong. Jasmin dedicated thirty minutes, ensuring she captured the perfect shots, despite the difficulties posed by our daughter's constant movements. It was not just about taking photographs; it was about creating a comfortable environment for our daughter, allowing her to be herself while still obtaining the necessary photos for a U.S. passport. What truly stood out was Jasmin's post-shoot work. She meticulously edited the few viable shots we had, elevating them to the stringent standards required for passport photos. Her expertise and willingness to go the extra mile were evident in the final product. Moreover, the gentleman at the front desk deserves equal praise. He was instrumental throughout the process, providing support and making us feel welcome and at ease. His professionalism and empathy greatly contributed to the positive atmosphere and overall success of our visit. Our experience at Ace Photo was nothing short of remarkable. I like the idea of buying from an independent camera shop rather than online. Ace has been helpful in the past. But I just bought a new lens and realized I put it on a wrong credit card. I called and asked if I could put it on a different credit card and they said no. That's kind of a bummer. I guess if I really wanted to be a jerk, I would return the lens and then buy it someplace else. But I won't do that. Edited: a friend agreed that 3 stars was a bit harsh, so I upped it to 4 stars. Still disappointed the shop wouldn't let me change the credit card. I get the reasoning, of course, and using the wrong card was totally my fault. But I am likely to take future business elsewhere (and also be more careful about which card I'm using when making large purchaes).
