I used H&R Block for several years but cannot trust them anymore. About a month ago, I got a text message saying an in-person appointment had been set up for me. At the time, I assumed it was a spam text & deleted it. A few days ago, I logged into my H&R Block account to contact my preparer in Arlington VA. Bizarrely, I saw that same in-person appointment in my account. I cancelled it & sent a message to my preparer about it. I only heard back about the mystery appointment after filing a BBB complaint. Apparently, my preparer sent the text message to me by mistake but didn't notice the mistake until I filed my complaint. Someone from the office left a voice mail for me but when I tried to call back, someone from the office tried to call me while I was still on hold. I hung up and figured not worth the trouble of working with these people anymore. No one has bothered to call again so clearly they don't want me to bother them anymore. Based on what I went through, they are not trustworthy or attentive to details.
