Yusuf Azim, MD

I have been seeing (by video link) Dr. Yusuf Azim for more than a year. I am 72, but I would highly strongly recommend Dr. Azim to anyone of any adult age who is struggling with mental issues. He exhibits the 2 qualities I always look for in my doctors -- he is both highly professional and extremely personable. Maybe, most importantly, he is a mental health expert who cares for a client not just as a patien,t but also as a person.

Fairly respectful for the most part but has shown up late to multiple appointments unapologetically. Yet he also gets agitated whenever I try expressing myself to him; he instead prefers to ask me a list of yes-or-no questions and then send me on my way. Has also practiced not-so-great clinical skills and bedside manner before. For example, speaking poorly of me when I recently received a new diagnosis, framing it as if I did something wrong. He also misread my vitals one time, unnecessarily giving me a health scare until I was reassessed by my PCP. Overall he's just a means to an end for me really. I don't love him but I don't want to go out searching for a new psych when it took me so long just to find this one.

Dr. Azim is very quick, efficient, and easy to talk to. He always follows up on my blood pressure and notes from the previous sessions. Highly recommend for telehealth concerns!

Dr. Azim is amazing. He is very professional and knowledgeable. He is so easy to talk to. He listens. Takes notes. He has managed my medications extremely well. I am very happy with him.
