STEM Preschool

STEM Preschool is an incredible asset to our community. Owner Portia Thomas and Administrator Editha Cortes have created a pristine environment that focuses on safety, skill building, education and fun. This beautifully sunlit school serves as an extension of our home for my two children and continues to prepare them for what life has to offer. I cant thank them enough for the resources, time, effort and love they put into this school.

Setting up for success! My child has attended STEM Preschool since she was an infant and is now 2.5 years old, so this review is long overdue. From the nurturing communicative teachers/admin to the great education, we have been thoroughly happy with our child's growth. When our daughter attends extracurricular activities or social events we know that our child growing up in STEM Preschool has a lot to do with how well behaved, socialized, and smart she is. We are forever thankful for the STEM Preschool environment!

STEM has been a joy since starting! The teachers are just wonderful- from the effective communication, to the fun and interesting lesson plans, extracurriculars, and outside time, we couldnt be happier. The leadership is organized and the structure is perfect. Thanks for the fun and learning!

I worked for STEM as a lead teacher prior to my husband and I moving out of state. I loved the STEM concept and witnessed first hand how beneficial these themes and plans were on the kids. I still implement similar ideas while being a stay at home mom for my son and observe how much he is constantly soaking in! I loved that I had the flexibility to create and expand my lesson planning, and loved that I was able to cater the lesson plans to each childs needs/interests. If I ever needed anything, admin almost always made it happen. I was looking at old pictures and felt nostalgic and went to check in on my old stomping grounds. Its super neat to see that they are expanding campuses. If you guys ever come to WV, let me know! Keep on rocking! -Ms.Alison

I have 2 kids at STEM (2 and 4). They love it so much that even if we moved 20 mins away, we still travel back and forth every day to drop them off and pick them up. STEM is a welcoming, happy place for kids and great partner for full time working parents. Its a preschool with a structured curricula that offers plenty of time for learning and playing. Kids spend time outside and go on nature walks. What I like the most about it is that my kids are developing pleasure for learning and I know this will help them through their lives. Teachers communicate daily through the app and post pictures and videos there. The preschool has navigated the pandemic well, balancing requirements with common sense. I only wish there would be more structured opportunities for one on one parent- teacher conversations but teachers make themselves available when needed. All in all- I highly recommend STEM if you are looking for a place for kids to explore their curiosity, make good friends and learn.
