My 3 year old is doing great in the Happy Apples class! They do many art projects, sing songs, listen at story time, explore sensory objects and have fun. Ms Iriarte is a fabulous teacher and seems to connect well with the kids. The new director Mrs Fry is great and the school offers many different class choices along with fun outings for the families to connect.

My husband and I are continuously impressed by the quality of the teachers at St. charles; our kids learn a lot and very much enjoy school.  We wanted to share some stories that highlight why we appreciate the school and it's wonderful teachers ... Today our son, Michael, recited the entire Lords Prayer and was so proud of himself :) We very much appreciate the wealth of religious knowledge they gain at school whether it's saying grace or learning biblical stories ...Michael often requests that we take a trip to China. When he asked again today, our daughter, Brianne, started singing "Ni Hao Parker". We couldn't believe it!! We are so appreciative of the education on diversity they receive from their teachers who do an excellent job discussing different countries, cultures and languages with them!!There are countless similar stories ranging from their teachers working with them on motor skills or learning basic skills/concepts or exploring various topics.The school is also very flexible and supportive of our family given that both my husband and I work full time! I would highly recommend this school!

This is one of the best kept secrets of Arlington.  The teachers are loving and caring, rates are affordable with many class options, and school is centrally located (near Clarendon metro).  My daughter attended St. Charles for two years and had a absolutely wonderful experience.  She is a sensitive and shy child, and had a difficult time interacting with the other children in the beginning of the year.  By the end of the two years (Happy Apples and Angels class), she was flourishing and shining because of the loving and encouraging environment of St. Charles, and is beyond well prepared socially and academically for Kindergarten.  I'm sending my 3 year old son to St. Charles and he loves it as well.  He begs me to go to school on the days he's supposed to stay home.  Highly recommend you consider this school for your children.
