If I could give a zero, I WOULD!!! How can you turn my service away when you have someone available to do my nails? A very disrespectful and disgusting display of behavior towards a customer who walks in your establishment just to get their nails done! I may be one person out of a million but I hope my review describes how anybody could be treated by the staff of Lenox Nails.

Grab some popcorn for this one. When I went to Lenox Nails, I asked for dip. The lady doing my nails (her name is Hellen I believe) talked me into getting gel instead. To remove my previous dip nails, she took an acrylic tip and tried to slide it between my nail and the dip and pop the nails off. This hurt really bad and started breaking my nails. I kept saying "Oww" and then she would tell me that it was better than the acetone way and would be over soon. After about 15 minutes of what felt like medieval torture, she put gel on my nails. As soon as I got home, before I could even wash my hands the gel bubbled up and separated from my thumb nail. One nail down. Just over 24 hours later, another nail chipped off. Gel nails lasting less than 3 days was unheard of to me, so I went back to ask for a refund. I didn't want them to fix the nails and do it again because of the borderline traumatic experience I had when they removed my nails the last time. I came in and asked if I could speak to someone about my nails. Hellen was working on someone else, but she said that she could just redo them. I told her that I didn't want to get my nails fixed, I just wanted a refund. She raised her voice and asked why I was making a big deal about it and that no one asks for this. I just asked again if I could have a refund, even just half back would be fine. She told me to wait until she was done doing other customers. As she was working on other customers, I heard her say that her other customers were nice, and she doesn't know why I'm asking for this. About 20 minutes later, she told me that she needs to remove my nails to make sure I'm not "getting anything for free." Even though I had already made an appointment to get my nails fixed at Calvary Nail Bar, I didn't want to make it look like I was trying to get a free botched manicure, so I let her do the thing I feared from last time- remove the nails. I assured her that I'm an honest person and was not trying to get anything for free. She explained that people make mistakes and that I'm making a big deal out of nothing. She saw that my thumb nail was broken (from the way she removed it last time) and said that that's why the gel wasn't sticking. She kept trying to assure me that this was my fault, not hers proceeded to sand my nails down till they were thinner than paper. She gave me $12 back for my $40 service, which is better than nothing. When I went to Calvary Nail Bar right after, I explained to them how they removed the dip nail and they told me that dip is softer than acrylic so removing dip that was is really damaging to the nail and makes them thin and break easily- exactly what happened to me. I'm not someone who likes confrontation, or even leaving bad reviews but moral of the story: DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE HERE. They damage your nails, don't listen to you when you say something hurts, and treat you poorly if something goes wrong.
