I consult with Dr. Kim every time my kids or I have an ongoing issue - so many practitioners go straight to treating the diagnosis and not the patient or root cause. She's my go-to. I have been a nurse for 7 years, I teach nursing and have seen many providers - she knows what she's doing. She's expensive, which is why I have kept trying out other practices, but I ALWAYS end up coming back to her and she is ultimately the one that ALWAYS fixes the problem.
This time around my 5 year old son had his first ear infection. He saw the pediatrician and ENT on and off for the past 4 months due to his ear drum bursting and ongoing hearing loss. He was prescribed a treatment (antibiotics, drainage of ear, Flonase for 8 weeks). No results...so I went to Dr. Kim. She knew exactly what ear it was without me telling her and without even looking in his ear (she always knows where the problem is without my telling her). She gave me guidance on what to do then adjusted him and did an inner ear massage - the next day my son was listening to tv in a lower sound and over the next few days his ears had so much wax draining. She fixed him.
Another story - I tried exploring a practice that takes insurance called Nava Health. I got their extensive lab work done as part of a physical and was not very impressed by what labs they drew and how they treated it. I should have just gone to Dr. Kim. The labs she has drawn is exactly what you need, she goes over it in good detail, and she knows what she's talking about. I've noticed that other practitioners leave out basic important teaching.
Lastly - I took my 5 day old to her for an adjustment. My first born had colic for 3 months so I did not want to risk it with my second born. She massaged his belly and helped loosen up all the sphincters in his GI tract. I wish I had done that with my first born sooner. By the time I took my first born to Dr. Kim, I had already been dealing with colic for 2.5 months. I don't think she cured it, because a newborn's gut needs time to establish it's own microbiota and time to adjust, but I definitely think she expedited the process.

Dr. Kim has been helping me a lot with my stomach pain. Her recommendations based on my food sensitivity results have made significant improvements in my appetite and overall digestive comfort. In addition, the digestive enzymes she prescribed already started making me feel better just a week in! Dr. Kim is also so sweet and easy to talk to. I love meeting with her each week and I'm so happy to have found her!
