During February 2024, I went to this T-Mobile store in Pentagon City Mall to switch from AT&T. I asked questions about T-Mobile paying off both my current iPhone and iPad mini. The staff assured me that T-Mobile would pay off both devices. He had me pull out the AT&T app on my phone to the pages of the amount of money that I owed on both devices. He took 5 screenshots of AT&T that gave my plan's information and the amount owned on both devices. In addition, the staff wrote on a yellow sticky note the upcoming price of my new monthly bill with T-Mobile. I paid off both devices on ATT's app while I was at the store. I returned 7 days later with the new iPhone 15 that was mailed to me, so the same staff person could insert the new sim cards and switch over my service on both devices. I was in the store for a good hour. The store staff took photos of the various screen shots of the ATT app and uploaded them to his iPad on a T-Mobile app. He set up my new iPhone 15. I thought he had also set up my iPad based on his actions with that device. About a week later, I called T-Mobile's customer service to discuss when and how I will receive the money from the company for paying off my two apple devices. First, I learned that the store staff did not provide accurate information. T-Mobile would not reimburse me for paying off my iPad. I ended up calling the main customer service line 7 times over the course of 5 days. I also learned that the price the store staff wrote on a yellow sticky and handed to me regarding the T-Mobile monthly bill was inaccurate. The plan's price is about $18 more a month. I learned that the Pentagon City Mall T-Mobile staff never transferred my iPad's service to T-Mobile. I had to call the T-Mobile main customer service line again. Their staff instructed me to call ATT to turn off my service with them, get a "PIN" for transferring the iPad to T-Mobile, and then call T-Mobile back. All of these calls took hours of my time over the course of a week.
