Fillmore Garden Apartments

Amazing property to live in at an affordable price given its location in central Arlingtontimely responsiveness by leasing staff, clean buildings and beautiful property, and a general sense of community among its inhabitants. I wanted to give particular kudos to Antonio, the property manager; I have been living in Fillmore Garden for two years now and he has always been not only a helping hand, but a friendly and familiar face. He has always been able to help me with my property-related needs and has looked out for me, as well as others, as a happy long-term resident. Thank you Fillmore Garden & staff!!

On 4/8/24, I needed to have the drain in the tub unclogged. The request was made around 9:30 a.m. The request was completed around 10:30 a.m. Thanks you so much FGA for assigning Jose. He did great job. He's an asset for FGA!

10 month update: Welp, things have gone downhill. The four (four!!!) adult men that share the one-bedroom below us are now having shouting matches at all hours, and it is really affecting our sleep. The utility bills from winter were ridiculous -$150-175 a month for part-time use of heaters and cold bathroom and kitchen. We will be moving at the end of year. 6 month update : Maintenance has continued to be helpful and timely. The office follows through on their word and keeps the grounds safe and clean and enforces parking and other rules. They also have regular fun events for families - we dont have kids but appreciate them being family friendly. We still have not seen pests of any kind. I am grateful that they are not price gouging residents and working hard to keep this affordable housing safe, clean, and fun. **Some units are more dated and in very different locations though, so I cannot speak for everyone** First impressions: We have had a positive experience with leasing and maintenance. Our neighbors are considerate, but you can hear your neighbors even on the top floor. It's not overly loud or annoying, in my opinion, just muffled soft noise. The trash service is convenient. We were able to paint and make things feel homey, which made a difference. The kitchen and bathroom had just been redone - it takes some persistence to make sure the unit you're getting is renovated, but just ask about all their options (they showed us five floor plans , I think, when we first visited). Renovated apartments cost a little more. We also made sure to see the exact apartment we were getting before we put money down - I recommend checking where it is in the complex because the buildings vary. We are street facing on Walter Reed Dr. Be aware that construction is beginning on Walter Reed soon, so an interior unit might be worthwhile. Parking could be better, but it is what it is! We're really happy with Filmore Gardens. The staff is super responsive, and this an independently managed property that tries to stay affordable.
