I had multiple plumbing problems: a leaky washing machine, a toilet that took ages for the tank to fill, and a tub faucet that kept spewing water when the shower lever was lifted. I called Ferguson Plumbing & Heating and left a message to please call me back. Mr. Ferguson kindly returned my call TWICE, when I missed him the first time. That courtesy impressed me, as I've sometimes never gotten a single callback from other service companies. He was able to schedule an appt. for the next day, and arrived on time after giving me a 30 minute heads-up, also very appreciated. Mr. Ferguson instantly diagnosed and fixed the washer leak, moved on to the other problems, and fixed those in record time too. He had all the necessary parts with him, and knew exactly what to do. Everything was so professionally done, but he was a delight to chat with and very personable. The bill was completely reasonable and lower than expected - when does that ever happen? I've already recommended his company to my neighbors & will let other friends and family members know too. I got Mr. Ferguson's name from my sister, who was also very happy with the superior work done by this company. Highly recommended!

Guy Ferguson and his fireplace expert Darwin have given amazing service to our gas fireplace on multiple occasions - from standard annual maintenance to after-hours phone tech support. Recently, we had to call after 8pm because the remote wasn't working - via text messaging, Darwin helped us troubleshoot the issue, and get the system working again. We VERY highly recommend this company for its customer service!

2.5 - 3 stars. I've experienced better, but I paid more for it, too. The good: the owner is nice and personable. Quotes are verbal, and won't be written up unless you commit. I wasn't told that at first, as I expected a written quote. I know contractors hate the business end of their work, but who likes paperwork other than attorneys? Pricing was reasonable, except that the range he gave ended up being the upper number of the verbal quote. He added to the figure on the day of the job as he forgot to include something, which is odd considering his experience. Another reviewer experienced the same thing -- adding a charge in the middle of a job. Is that ethical? Typical? I'm a cynic, so -- probably. I could have been more assertive in negotiation, but as I stated, his pricing was reasonable compared to some competitors. Most of the work was very good. More fittings/couplings on straight runs than optimal, but overall good, and it works. The not so good: the actual plumber -- the ones that do the work, not the owner -- is a journeyman who is eligible to take his master's exam. He used too much flux, as we still smell it and see cloudy water a week later. Copper supply lines showed less than optimal placement and configuration through the joists and around the HVAC duct. I was available for questions and guidance so I should have been consulted before he proceeded. The crew wasn't so neat, and did not clean up after themselves diligently. We had to ask them to lay down dropcloths to protect our floors after they entered the house from our wet and icey sidewalks. And they forgot to bring a construction vacuum when they should have anticipated lots of debris. They left cig butts and some debris in our driveway, plus dumped some wood shavings around the base of a bush thinking it would blend in with our brown mulch. But it stood out like a sore thumb, and doing such a thing is disrespectful of a customer's property.
