Lowcost Dental

I just took my elderly mother here this morning. She heard good things from her friends who also wear dentures. Apparently, among the elderly Koreans, this place is known for reasonable cost and specialization on dentures. Now my mother is mobility challenged. She can walk with help with a walker. When I take her to doctor's appointments, I usually opt for a wheelchair for convenience and timesaving. I don't know about the quality of dental care at this place, but if you walk with a cane, walker, or are wheelchair-bound, you might as well forget about this place. There is NO handicapped parking, well hardly any parking for that matter. There are no ramps, and the office on the first floor has several steep concrete steps up with NO handrails. Obviously the building came about before the Americans with Disability Act (ADA). I somehow found a parking with an empty space next, so that I can sit my mother, but upon reaching the sidewalk I realized that there is no way to get her into the office. So I walked in and cancelled the appointment. Their lame excuse was that if I had informed them, "we would've provided accommodations." What accommodations they were thinking I have no idea. Unless they had beam-me-up-Scotty device. it was laughable. The office inside is dimly lit with narrow corridors, probably near impossible to negotiate on a wheelchair. So if you are looking for a low cost dentures, I think this is an OK place, though I can't vouch for them since I never got to witness their service. If you have any problem walking or with DANGEROUS steps -- I can imagine when it's raining or snowing -- you'd best stay away.

Very ethical office with caring staff. I see patients with plates from Maryland every visit. I hope the doctor does not retire for a long time. This office operates to serve the community/people.
