Days Inn by Wyndham Altavista

The facility and grounds are clean and well kept. The staff is knowledgeable, kind and competent. Quality and service is obvious and this hotel deserves the quiet praise it's been getting.

The room was very clean. I did not get up in time for breakfast. Couldnt find anything wrong except could use new mattress. I will definitely be staying here again!

The stay was ok except for the power going out for a few hours and no one being able to tell us why. However, the WORST PART IS IF YOU ARE A SMOKER DO NOT STAY HERE!!! THEY WILL FRAUDULENTLY CHARGE YOUR CARD FOR A CLEANING FEE AND SAY THAT YOU SMOKES IN THE ROOM LEAVING CIGARETTE BUTTS AND ASHES ALL OVER THE PLACE WHEN THAT IS A LIE!!!!! RAJ SHAH WAS VERY RUDE, COMBATIVE, AND A FRAUDULENT LIAR!!! SAID HE HAD THE CIGARETTE BUTTS WHEN THAT WAS A LIE!!! I used to work in house keeping and at EVERY hotel I have ever stayed at I ALWAYS clean up the room! I strip the beds and put them in a pile with the dirty towels and I gather ALLL trash together and put them in my own trash bags to make things easier for whoever is the housekeeper of my room. I did the same thing here!!!! I HAVE NEVER SMOKED IN A HOTEL ROOM THATS NON-SMOKING!!!! I even told him he has video footage BEFORE AND AFTER the power went out of myself and my husband going outside to smoke and he lied saying "I have the cigarette butts you left!" Screaming at me. I said that's ok I'll be making a report of this fraud and he LAUGHED IN MY FACE as if I wouldn't be able to. Boy is he wrong!!!! I guess when they are low on business or tight on money he has the people who works for him (probably relatives because one poor girl who was there when we checked in at like 7 in the evening was there till the NEXT AFTERNOON WHILE TRYING TO DO HER SCHOOL WORK) to pay attention to which guests smoke so he can charge them a fraudulent cleaning fee!!!! It makes me wonder if he charged the people who were smoking weed further down the hall?

As of right now if you are local within a 50-mile radius they will no longer rent rooms to you it does not State anywhere on their website this information I booked a room for 2 days go to check in and they refused service to me because I was local I had no warning and RAJ SHAH was very rude n just didn't have any consideration to the fact that I wasnt made aware ahead of time and on top of that things happen pipe bust you may lose power and you can't stay there because your local that is absurd I've never had a problem with this hotel when we lost our House 2 years ago we stayed there for almost a month and did not have not one problem and now they need new management
