Foul humans, who don't actually help people out...

Today I obtained a phone call from Roselyn "Karen" Shoemaker. A minute into the phone call she attacked me, accusing me of being lazy and not wanting to work. She proceeded to say that she didn't have any money, and she couldn't understand why I was unable to pay my bill. I felt her tone was that of profiling and remembered that I submitted my driver's license, which identified me as an African American. After discussing the event with witnesses that overheard the conversation, we concluded that Miss Shoemaker was a racist. I am not sure of the outcome of my action, but I am going to file formal complaints with the IRS against this non-profit, also with the State Attorney General's Office, fraud division, and the Better Business Bureau. I believe this charity reaps donations only to pay the salary of their staff and cover their overhead with no intention of assisting anyone and in addition are racist and prefer not to assist anyone that is ethnic. I hope my actions will spare others in the future the ordeal I endured, and my Yelp and social network statement of my experience will alert those of your fraudulent organization and bigoted protocol.

Code of support was invaluable during a time when I needed help the most! It was not the monetary value of support rather, having someone there to walk you through your struggles and a listening ear when things were difficult. Knowing that I wasn't alone during such a rough part of my life, and feeling like your problems were their problems too...that's what made working in a partnership with Code of Support so valuable! I was never alone! Their unlimited resources and Marjorie's unending follow through on research and providing tools and ideas were unprecedented! I made it through this year feeling hopeful and uplifted that I could get through all of this with their help! I couldn't have done it without Marjorie and all of her contacts through Code of Support!
