Not all veteran organizations are created equal and are only in it for the name recognition and fund raising such as @OperationPurpleCamp What a joke of an organization, supposedly offering inexpensive weekend camping trips to veterans and their families. They pump you up, give you full details and a schedule and then the day before its suppose to start, you are notified the camp got cancelled. What a joke. No alternative event for the same weekend, no comp in replace of the trip, no back up plan, nothing. You are just left hanging after weeks of excitement and planning which included an evening zoom meeting to get you more excited for what eventually becomes a dumped weekend. If you are a veteran beware of these people @OperationPurpleCamp Once again an organization using veterans to increase their monetary coiffeurs, but further disappoint some unexpecting veterans and their families. I guess the joke is really on me thinking I can get a planned out camping weekend including food and activities for a family of 5 for $50 which included a private cabin at a nice campground like Camp Cullen. What a joke @OperationPurpleCamp these people are. I normally run from organizations like this, but thought @OperationPurpleCamp they were legit. No I know. What my $50 has gotten me was an experience of planning for something that wasn't going to happen dealing with an organization which uses the term veteran to raise funds and don't deliver.
