Our son has been at Vinci for about a year and we have seen him blossom there! The teachers seem to REALLY care about him. The administrators are dedicated and friendly too. And the owner, Dr. Dan, while sometimes a little unconventional by American standards, holds her staff to exceptionally high standards, is very involved and really cares about child development and the quality of the education. As a result of being at Vinci, our son is less shy and better at making friends; eats a better variety of food than before (including veggies) because of the really high quality, diverse food options at Vinci (they cater from Whole Foods everyday); has learned incredible science and math concepts (like the concept of 0, which isn't started until 1st grade in public schools and he is 3!). THIS SCHOOL IS AMAZING!

No filter, this school is not the school for children of color. Your child's behavior is looked at as hostile if they hit a child, but if another child hits/pushes yours, it's playing and appropriate. They are freaking toddlers, learn to handle them or cut your class ratio. Then to top it off, they classified my child as defiant, violent behavior and a little of negative undertones terms used in institutionalized racism. Which when everyone else. Who has had interactions with him including other parents, teachers, etc. They all were shocked to hear such language being used of a child they were familiar with around and not around me. When we placed him in another environment there was no more hitting, no time-out, and no more negative name calling of him being a bad boy. While everyone with this school was not an issue...the owners concept of what a toddler should be and doing on a social emotional side is not correct. Instead of kicking kids who are testing as twice exceptional out of your program, you should be teaching them how to process emotions. So happy this nightmare is over. Update: Still happy that my child is no longer there. The owner attempted to threaten me to remove this review when I first posted it, but clearly I was not in tge wrong for my opinions (for the record I have over 150,000 views on my reviews). My child is now getting ready for an excellent school in the area that has a known history. To top it off, we have NOT had ONE incident of him hitting. He is back to his loving and caring self. He scored an overall score of 122 on his IQ test that placed him in the 93rd percentile for his age group, and would have scored higher if he didn't get bored with the puzzles. I update this and share this to encourage parents to not settle and always act in your child's best interest. If something doesn't feel right, its not right.
