Slaters Market

Slaters Market is top notch. They have excellent sandwiches and a variety of wine and beer that you wouldnt expect from a neighborhood market. The staff is always smiling and helpful. The owner Scott is totally dedicated to its success. Shoutout to Alison and Malcolm (and others there whose names I cant recall). They all rock it there. Scotts other place in Old Town at the bottom of King Street is up and coming and worth your visit.

My fiance and I love this place! We frequent it. Alison, the manager, is very accommodating and delightful, and the employees are friendly and fantastic. Scott, the owner, is a great guy too. We love to grab a glass of wine and sit and people watch. The offerings in the store are very special, gourmet and unique. The freshly baked brownies are outrageously delicious. They also have a newer location in Old Town that I would recommend.

I think I just ate the best New England clam chowder Ive ever had in my life. Im from MA and it tastes like home. Please make it a permanent menu item! The sandwiches are great too. Glad I found this place.

This place never misses the mark. Great service and the sandwiches are arguably some of the best in the DMV. My go-to is the Slaters Club on Sourdough.
