        Short version I had a bad experience with the Manager being unwilling to help a customer. Spoke to her supervisor and explained what I wanted. A written apology explaining exactly what she failed to do. EXPLICITLY said I didnt want a phone call from her manager. Multiple calls and two voice mails now??? Worst part is she still doesnt get it from her message. How did her supervisor communicate the failure and expectation? This rating reflects managements failure and not many years of doing business there.

        We have been clients of Burke & Herbert Bank for 10+ years. Specific services required us to go to the Burke & Herbert Bank on S Fairfax Street in Alexandria, VA. We dealt with multiple employees at this location but one of them Anna-Marie was exceptionally antagonistic, disrespectful, rude, and dismissive. For about 15 minutes during the meeting with Anna-Marie we felt like we are at the principals office. Something in our documents was missing and her way of letting us know was just not right. Things can happen but there is a way to let clients know that something in our documents is missing or incorrect. I honestly dont understand how Anna-Marie can work in customer service, let alone with clients at the bank. We decided to go to Wells Fargo and our personal banker was more than happy to help us. This whole situation made us switch banks.

        I have been a customer of Burke and Herbert Bank for 8 years. Recently, they closed my account because it had been at $0 for over 30 days. It just goes to show you that all they care about is about profiting off of you. All the fees and other issues I have had over the years and I never closed the account myself. This is really disappointing and frankly disrespectful. They gave no notice prior to or after closing the account. The only reason I found out was that I logged on to my account as I do periodically to make sure that the account is in good order.
