Encompass has been great at helping my mom get better. Ashley is an AMAZING physical therapist. Shes got a great attitude- positive and encouraging, full of good energy. She made this whole process fun for my mom. Thanks again

What an incompetent admin staff and office. We were waiting to be transferred from the hospital after a surgery for a rehab but Encompass never submitted the admission to the insurance for 5 days until after we called the insurance to find out . And when they finally admitted their mistake, they refused to accept my husband given the reason that after evaluation it has been too long after surgery and they couldn't do anything.

From admission to discharge the staff was courteous and professional in every respect. The staff not only applies their knowledge and skill, but it is also obvious that they have their hearts in their work. They work well together as a total team to ensure patient needs are met. We could not have asked for a better experience, and the progress that was made is remarkable and encouraging. I have the greatest respect for the entire organization....from the administrative staff, the medical personnel, the cafeteria staff, the facility maintenance team, and the logistical support that ensures necessary supplies and materials are available when needed. Encompass is a well-managed facility that is focused on the patient's well-being and physical improvement! Our whole family is very pleased with Encompass and they have our respect and gratitude!! I highly recommend Encompass to anyone needing physical therapy to restore life functions.

I'm posting my experience at Encompass because there may be individuals who have never been injured or sick before; and truly are willing to do the work to get back on their feet. You may be wondering whether you should receive your therapy at a skilled nursing care facility i.e. nursing home. DON'T DO IT! Encompass is where you want to be to get better; you, need the total care package which equals Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Northern Virginia. You'll have knowledgeable doctors, nurses, and therapist who care for your body as if it's their own, the latest most up to date equipment and facility, your nutritional needs met; good, food was of paramount importance for me. If you can't eat well you can't get well is my motto. Most importantly the staff works as a complete team from admissions to care to discharge. The case workers make sure you're leaving with any of the necessities you may need at home to continue your recovery. Yes, I know the aforementioned, equals the total recovery package. I know because I've been to the other places and they don't compare. You will never regret choosing Encompass. If I get weak in the knees give me Encompass please! I highly recommend Encompass for anyone looking for inpatient rehab. My grandmother had a large stroke and was recently admitted for 3 weeks. Upon arrival she could not move her entire left side and is now able to walk with a hemi-walker and has gained independence in many areas. The PTs, OTs, and speech therapists were amazing and I cannot recommend them enough for recovery. We were hesitant about picking Encompass due to many reviews flagging nursing concerns. The nursing staff was amazing during our stay! Out of 21 days we only had 1 complaint re: a night nurse who didn't change her during the night. This matter was promptly addressed by the charge nurse and they made sure to make things right. I would always recommend always having family stay/check in with family members so they can advocate for any concerns. The staff was overall amazing and kind. They really cared for my grandmother and her progress and we felt we made the best decision choosing this rehab.
