Delightful local restaurant featuring Italian fare. Reservations are a must for dinner. A small cozy restaurant with two fireplaces and a busy bar. Prices are median...for two we spent $130+tip . Split a salad, glass of wine, two entrees and dessert Always our favorite for a nice dinner date in Stowe. Will come again!

Food to die for! Service was top notch. Pricing and portion was fantastic unlike some other Italian restaurants in town. Looked at a different place earlier and saw the menu it looked good, then the price per dish then how the owner of that establishment responded to a review and was turned off. So glad that happened otherwise I would not have found Salute and chose to eat here. We had the chicken parmigiana, focaccia, bolognese, vongole pasta, and tiramisu. The chicken parm was breaded, seasoned, and fried to perfection. The vongole pasta had good portion of fresh clams, the meat sauce was fantastic. The focaccia appetizer I could have eaten 2 portions and been happy. The atmosphere was beautiful, cozy and the service was top notch of nice friendly people. Would totally repeat.

I would highly recommend. We will definitely be back when we visit Stowe. We started with a Cesar salad and fresh complementary bread and oil. Both were very good. For dinner I had the Linguine Carbonara with peas, it was excellent. Not too creamy. My husband had the Chicken Parm. He really enjoyed it. Service was okay. Not a big issue. We loved the food so much, we will be back.
