The facility itself is warm and welcoming, the staff is what makes the experience unique. It is obvious that the staff works well as a team, and has the patients best interest at heart. Dana and Kiana were absolutely hilarious at my appointment making me feel at ease, and Lindsey and Lynn (Im sorry if those arent correct) made my son feel so calm while taking his first X-rays.

My family is very happy with St. Johnsbury Dental. My husband and I both needed work that required Novocaine and we both noted that it was the first time in our lives, the shot itself didn't even hurt. Great staff, great service.

I want to start by saying that my overall experience with this office was pleasant. All the staff I interacted with were very nice and I barely had any time in the waiting room. But this is why Im not giving it 5 stars: When I booked the appointment I was told it would only be for an exam with X-rays and the hygienist would clean my teeth if they had time. That was suspicious to me, and should have been taken as my first hint that I was going to have a problem, as for the whole 30 years of my life Ive always had my teeth cleaned before the dentist even comes in. As a previous Hardwick dental patient, I just needed a new place to go in the meantime while they are booking out so far. So I say sure and book the appointment. The most important fact in this review is that I have no dental insurance and always pay up front for everything So $309 later, Ive had a total of 19 X-rays done (more than Ive ever had anywhere in my life), an exam, and a quote for a dental cleaning. Granted, this may have been the most thorough X-ray exam Ive ever had, the rest of the exam was what I have normally experienced. I was told I needed a special dental cleaning and was quoted over $1,000 for it. Im not even given the option for a regular cleaning. Needless to say- I wont be back. And it sucks that they already got over $300 from me. I paid for my visit at the checkout desk before receiving this cleaning quote- because I never in my life expected it to be that high. I used to pay less than $300 for an exam, X-rays AND cleaning at every other office Ive ever been to throughout my recent years. If you have insurance, maybe this doesnt affect you. But I feel like they are really milking it. I wanted to like this office so bad but I literally cannot afford to. And trust me, I dont struggle financially If you are uninsured and dont have money to just throw around, let this be your warning that you may want to choose a different office. They dont even discount anything for self-pay which I find odd. Access to care is already a problem in our area. Im literally just begging for a routine cleaning over here. I waited months for this appointment and now basically have to start all over again.
