    Highly do not recommend this bank. I use it as a secondary choice bank for a reason. I've been using Passumpsic Bank for years and years and never once had an issue like I've had with this bank. You use your debt card, check your online banking, thinking you have more money than you really do because things take a full 24 hours or more to show up in your online banking. Instead of instantly. Don't get my started on the customer service. It SUCKS. I've walked in just to deposit a check for someone, and I've sat and waited 20 minutes to do so. Also has to wait about 40 minutes to even open an account and speak to someone about a credit card. Even the calling route is ridiculous. Nobody ever answers. I've called about 6 times, been on hold for 5 minutes each time, just to get rang into a voice-mail after minutes of waiting, and then it just hangs up on you as you're about to leave a message. Really tempted to go in, take my funds and close my account, and open one somewhere else.

    Do not use this credit union. The merger has messed things up pretty bad. There is a teller here who won't listen to you. Even if you've been told something by another bank official. I've banked with NEFCU for 25 years and never had any problem until now. We have almost everything here. We have Checking, Savings, and a home loan thru NEFCU, and we have perfect credit scores also. I was even in there once when a customer who banked at VSECU for years was mad because he couldnt call the bank directly anymore and waited on hold for 30 mins before hanging up and driving to the ST J branch office. These 2 banks have huge problems with their merger. Good luck if you choose to open accounts with them.
