Al Smith Roofing

We had just moved and early spring of 2019 we had some leaking coming from our recessed lighting. Being one of the busiest times of the year it was impossible to find someone to take a look at our roofing.  That said we didn't think it was the roof because the roof was installed in 2016. Our insurance adjuster came to evaluate, said it looked like it was a condensation problem. To make things worse it wasn't covered under insurance because it was determined to be builder error. In the mean time our roof continued to leak on our brand new wood floor. After exhausting research trying to find a roofer it was then July with still no resolution we noticed an add in the Burlington Free Press. We called and Albert Smith was at our house the next day to access the situation. He was very knowledgeable, professional & we think for the extensive work that needed to be done the pricing was fair, as well. I would have no problem recommending Albert Smith and his very courteous crew,I wish I knew their names so I could give them a shout out, as well.  Thank you Al!

Please don't use Al Smith roofing.i hired to do a simple garage roof. Told me he needed $1000 down to get on schedule, told me about 2 weeks closer to 6-7 weeks he comes by rips off a few shingles, leaves shingles on roof. He says I will be back next day, multiple follow ups and still no show, roof is exposed, it's raining and snowing with water leaking in. Now he tells me he has been in an accident but will be there tomorrow, still no show, after 2 weeks with exposed roof I hired a reliable contractor who was much cheaper and did a great job. I have read reviews of him ripping off other people, please don't hire him, I wish I read reviews before hand, now he tells me I broke contract and that the 12 bundles of shingles and a few miscellaneous items were $1000 worth. Guy is unreliable and a crook

I had a written contract with Al Smith's roofing which we signed in October. He needed immediately $1000 down payment and which I waited and waited for him to come. Initially it was going to be two weeks eventually he did come About two months later. His crew was quite disorganized spent a few hours and didn't seem to accomplish anything except leave some holes in the roof. He promised to be back the next day.  day after day I waited with more excuses why he wasn't coming. Water leaked in my house. He states that the thousand dollars covered the shingles and his work, I can reassure you 10 bundles of shingle and 4 pieces of drip edge doesn't cost this much. I eventually had it done much cheaper with much better quality items. The guy doesn't want to give back any money. Seems like a real sleazeball. Strongly do not recommend using this company .all in all worst construction experience I've ever had
