One star based off of how I was treated over the phone with the gastro Dept scheduler, I asked to be on a waiting list on monday and they said yes. I call Friday because I'm still having problems and they said "I wish you called yesterday we had an opening then" I kindly asked her "I thought I was on a waiting list?" She said "oh yes you are." So I asked her to be more vigilant next time an opening happens and I get a "thanks" and a hangup. Very unprofessional. Will update once I'm done with my appointment in March.

ONE star because you can't choose ZERO. THEY NEED TO ATTRACT DR'S & NURSES HERE.The patients wait is months and months to get an appointment with a specialist. 3 months to get an MRI, first the radiologist needs to approve the patients need for an MRI he takes his SWEET time with that decision, then they told me they are booking end of FEBRUARY. maybe if they paid the RN's a LIVING wage that is comparable to the COST of living in this State they could attract QUALITY Rn's.

A lot of the nursing staff here are very rude and not very helpful. I had a horrible experience with this place. I think mostly because I'm from out of town.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, if possible. I know that is somewhat difficult given their monopoly over the state of Vermont. Care is fine, billing is a NIGHTMARE of hours of phone calls and emails between UVM, you, and your insurance. (I have a great plan under BCBS, and it doesn't make a difference). They always bill one visit as numerous visits/charges (4+) and are complacent with being that chaotic. Insurances don't recognize what they're doing. The way I see it, they are mostly doing a disservice to themselves by not receiving payments in a timely manner, in addition to making patients give up hours upon hours of time to coordinate the flow of appeals, check-in to prevent collections, and ensure they receive checks in the end. Also, factor in their terrible customer response time, and you could be dealing with this for up to a year like me.
