Marissa is a highly compassionate and competent math tutour. I would recommend her for any of your math needs, and for any type of learning mind.

When my son started seeing Marissa for math tutoring, his confidence level was very low. Through her tutoring, his confidence level grew and we saw a vast improvement in his grades. In addition to being very patient and caring, I appreciated that she would talk to the schools/teachers to make sure her tutoring was in sync with what they were teaching. I can't thank her enough for all that she has done for my son. I'd highly recommend Marissa!

We love Marissa! She worked with my daughter for two years. She was way below grade level in math and Marissa worked with her one day a week while she was in school and durning the summer for three weeks, five days a week. She is now at grade level! Marissa gave her the confidence that she needed so she felt like she could actually perform at the level of her peers, which is something she has never felt before! Marissa is so patience and kind. She really cares about the kids she works with! She was such a blessing!

My son Aviv is a strong, hardworking student, but there were some math concepts that I could tell he just wasn't getting. He could do the work, and even get the correct answer most of the time, but he couldn't talk about math in a way that showed he understand the connection to "real life." I'm a teacher and so I specifically wanted someone who wouldn't just make him do more work, but would actually do the hard work of "making math real" for him. I am happy to say that I found what Aviv needed in Marissa Meyer's at Brattleboro Math Center. Marissa related to me as a mom, related so nicely with Aviv as a young man, and wowed us both with her math knowledge and ability to make math real for us both :)
