American National Insurance: Matthew Kemp

Have been through this company for a few years but was recently switched to Matt Kemp as my agent. I called about a month and a half ago about checking progressive rates, as online was showing me $30-$40 cheaper per month for the same coverages as mine has continually been going up. I told him I wanted to make the switch. He said he would do it a few days later as it was close to my billing date. Now a month and a half later my insurance has still not been changed as he completely forgot. I will be going elsewhere as it's hard to trust someone when they don't do what is asked and never a single call. They just flat out forgot. They were super eager to get it changed when I told them I would be switching to a different agent. I do not recommend this agent if you want to go through American National.

I would NOT recommend this Branch to be your agency. They DO NOT do what they say they will do. They quote you one thing and debit your account different then what they quoted you. Because they did this to me on my first payment, I requested to be off autopay, only to come find out they didn't take me off autopay and still charged my account the high dollar amount. They don't return messages and I still don't have my new insurance cards like they said would be emailed to me. Because of them not being honest and doing there job, I have become negative in my account, left stranded with no money. If you don't want to take a chance of this happening to you then I highly recommend NOT using them as your agent! We see if they do the right thing and credit back my account! Writing to inform that the Big boss called me and heard me out, which I really appreciate. They did reimburse me on the fees I was charged from my bank and is making it right on my cost for the next couple of months. Thank you both for taking the time in calling me and making this right. I am willing to give them another chance as being my agent and insurance company!
