I cannot attest to the agent but as for the insurance, American National Insurance, they are a joke. One of their clients rear ended me, after not hearing anything from them for over 2 weeks I finally got ahold of them and they gave me a complete runaround and told me I can take care of it myself. Finally after a month and threatening lawyers they contacted me saying they will cover the damages and they would email me with the available options. After a few days I finally got an email via notification of them sending me a payment for the damages that was ESTIMATED via photo estimate and it does not include the hidden damages done that cant be seen in a picture. I have 72 hours from the email send date to collect my shorted check via direct deposit or it will be sent via paper check. Now they wont answer my phone calls or email to work it out to have the actual damages repaired. This is the most terrible, unprofessional mickey mouse operation I have ever dealt with.
