Came out for the Alan Jackson concert. I dont really like the blood donation options in Oakland , California so I wanted to donate in Utah. So glad I did an ultra modern facility and the phlebotomist was so friendly. If youre on the fence donate as they are experiencing a shortage in Utah.

Their logic on whether you can donate while on Testosterone makes me nervous for those who receive the blood that has been donated to them. "If your doctor recommends you donate blood, then we can't allow you to donate". Which due to the possibility of having high red blood cells from Testosterone treatment I can understand. They then go on to say "You can still donate while taking testosterone (even if you have a high red blood cell count) if your doctor doesn't mention anything about donating"..... Basically stating that if your doctor is knowledgeable and informs you of this possibility, you can't donate, but if your doctor just skips over this possible issue you can still donate..... It sounds like they are trying to stay compliant with the rules they need to, without actually staying compliant....
