    Rays is the best auto shop I've ever used hands down. Extremely fair pricing. If you're looking to fix your car, but can't pay an arm and a leg to predatory auto shops, call rays and they'll beat the competitors price. Rays also does a great job of working with their customers to get your car fixed. They'll use customer supplied parts (no warranty on this type of work of course), incase you can source parts for cheaper. Their staff are all extremely kind and patient. They've done a ton of work on my old audi, and they take great care of me.

    Surprised I haven't already previously reviewed this shop considering I've been going to them for years, so here it is! They always take such good care of me. I've always felt that they were really honest with me about what actually needed to get done each time. Thank you guys for all your hard work! My husband and I are definitely loyal to your shop, we don't go anywhere else.

    I wish there was a 0 star button. Unprofessional, untrustworthy, may as well throw your money in the trash. Without writing a novel of how terrible of an experience I had with Rays service, Im now out $7,000 on a car I had inspected there and Rays garage has proven to be the most untrustworthy and quite honestly lazy mechanic shop Ive been to. And looks like Im not the only one Rays has done this to long story short I took a car to get a pre purchase inspection and was told by a lady at the front desk and the mechanic that did the job that the car was in great condition, had no serious problems, would just need routine oil changes and it would be a good vehicle to buy less than 3 WEEKS later engine misfiring and grinding noises when starting up. Took it to another shop who sent pictures of coolant leaking from the engine block with rust all around it that shouldve been caught at time of inspection and informed me there had been fluid leaking into the head gasket for far longer than a few weeks, so bad it now requires a full head gasket or engine swap (estimated $5,000+). Incredibly frustrating to pay someone to inspect a car and provide a diagnosis and to have such an outcome. AND not to mention asking multiple times at time of inspection for some kind of documentation or invoice and they have no record of it. Doubt they even looked at the car at all with how obvious it was leaking. Dont waste your money with Rays Photos provided by a mechanic at a different shop that actually does his job.

Hello, I'm sorry if you thought us rude after you took your car (without paying for it) from our shop. This was also after you hounded us about doing the job for less money and not responding to any communication between you and the receptionist. We offered to let you bring your own parts in which is not something we often do and you never let us know whether or not we were okay to order them or if you were handling that. We told you the cost of the job and even spent the time to show you what needed to be done. We tried to be communicative to our best abilities but when we do not get a response it is difficult to get the proper work done. We believe in customer service but we will not work with people who waste our time.

When you came into our shop for a pre-purchase inspection on 09/06/2023 we took a look at the Prius. We do not take pictures when we do inspections, because when we do inspections we tell the customer what we think is going on with it, and I offered to write it down if needed. But because there was nothing wrong with it at the time we did not write anything down for you. When you brought the issue to our attention on 10/05/2023, we talked to the shop that wanted $5000 for the job. (which we offered to do it at a more reasonable cost because of the inconvenience) Our price would have been $3408.90, but I was not originally told that that would be the amount for the job at the other shop. Nothing more than that and you never responded to the offer of us doing it at a lesser cost. You just asked for us to pay the price of what they had charged you at the other shop already, which was $351.78. Which was not possible based off of the evidence given. When I spoke to the other shop we came to the conclusion that based on the oxidation on the car it could have formed over the course of one to two weeks. Therefore we could not have caught it when you brought it in. We apologized and explained the situation and gave you a refund on the inspection but I understand this is more than frustrating for you. We cannot know everything about a car when it comes in. It is a general inspection and based off of what we saw there was no reason to worry, because there was nothing there to see when we had it. There were no visual signs of a leak. The other shop said that it was less than a quart low in the overflow tank when it came in, not the radiator or the rest of the coolant system but the overflow so the leak was small. Between our two shops we were able to discern that there was no way that we could have seen it. We told you this.Again we are sorry for the situation you are in.
