Hopkins Scott A MD

I have known Dr. Hopkins for the last 16 years. I have cerebral palsy and am confined to a wheelchair. Mr. Hopkins has gone over and above for me. He was crucial in helping me get my new powered wheelchair when I was struggling with my other doctor. He took that over and made sure the paperwork was correct. He lets me call him after hours whenever I have a medical situation. In my opinion, Dr. Hopkins is one of the finest Urologists in the West. His staff is very efficient as well.

I was not pleased with doctor Hopkins at all he basically told me I was going to have to live with my condition for the rest of my life and there's nothing he will do like most of the people have said he didn't believe my pain is real. I also was not happy you have to wait in the waiting room for 45 minutes get back to a room wait another 20 minutes just to see him and then for him to tell me he wasn't going to do anything I will definitely be going to someone else who will actually do something about my condition I do not recommend doctor Hopkins to anyone.

Dr. Scott Hopkins, (or Dr. Silly Socks - as my husband refers) to him is amazing. Thorough, easy to talk to, competent - an around great doctor! Scott has provided excellent service to my husband and I for several years - and we have always received the best of care: And, his office staff is also top-notch - easy and accommodating always! We highly recommend Western/Summit Urology to anyone who has needs within their area of expertise!

I was referred to a urologist after being hospitalized twice in 8 days for severe pain in the abdomen. The office requested I give them my test results from the ER before my appointment so I dropped them off 2 days early. On the day of the appointment I waited for over 45 minutes before I could see the doctor. He did not apologize for the wait, he had not reviewed my test results, and he did not take a medical history. He proceeded to rush through the appointment, and when I told him I could not afford to come back next week he said, "Well I don't have a magic wand to make it go away" in a very sarcastic tone. When I asked why he was being so hostile, he began to yell at me. I started crying and he continued to yell. I have never encountered someone so arrogant. Is asking a doctor clarifying questions and not being able to come back immediately for another appointment such an uncommon thing to provoke such a reaction in a doctor? And did I mention I was a new patient? Why is this acceptable behavior?
