Unfortunately, I cannot recommend KFM. My project was around 95 feet of concrete on the side of my house and the side of my front driveway. Because of the expense of this project and the reasons listed below it was the most nerve wracking experience I have had with any job at my house. - Didn't tell me to tarp. I poured in the fall and the very next day it pour rain all morning. Had I not gone to Home Depot and bought a hundred feet of plastic to cover my newly poured concrete it might have all been ruined. I had talked to KFM but they didn't seem worried. But the next day they were surprised how much it rained. I was not surprised, because I had been watching the weather closely. - Didn't tell me to use concrete blankets. A day or two after the rain, the temperatures plunged to sub-freezing. After worrying about what to do about this, I found out through Googling that I can get concrete blankets to keep the newly poured pad from freezing. So I spent more money to rent blankets from a local concrete specialty store. Had I not, again my pad would likely have been ruined. In fact, I found out at the concrete specialty store that they were selling a lot of blankets for that weekend specifically because of the sub-freezing temperatures. I received no heads-up from KFM on this ahead of time. Very disappointing. - I was told the excavation portion was done twice before it was actually to the 8 inch depth that was bid. - I felt constantly pressured to pour even when I wasn't ready. I had some unique circumstances related to a french drain that delayed things a few times. But it seemed that KFM just wanted to get the pour done and wasn't concerned about my situation. - KFM broke the fence with the excavator and then did a poor job fixing it. I refused to pay the second half of the money until it was fixed properly. Then they fixed it. - KFM told me I wasn't going to be charged for an extra 1.5' x 4' section, then when I told him I wanted to pay via credit card, he wanted me to pay $200 for the section. Which I paid. - KFM showed up at 7am to finish preparation because they planned to pour the next day, but there had been no discussion with me about pouring the next day. In fact, I had specifically asked them not to pour but KFM had stopped responding to my messages. - Did not use 2x4s everywhere for the framing so one part of the concrete bows out. Which I asked for a discount on. They gave the discount. Ultimately, I think my pad will be okay, but it is only because of things I did to ensure that. Had I not been very involved it likely would have been ruined.

KFM Construction did a fantastic job on my driveway. They were very professional and took pride in their work. When they came across a spliced sprinkler line, they replaced the entire line instead of burying the spliced line under the driveway. The day after the pour, they came back out and pressure washed the entire street and my driveway. It was cleaner after they left then before the pour. You can't go wrong with this company. Fair prices, quality work, and good, honest people. Service: Concrete driveway building
