I am not one who will typically take the time to write a review. This one deserves some attention. Please anyone looking to get trusses through these folks think twice or three times. Here is my experience. June 4th I send my plans to Norm Jenkins. He sends me the Lumber Take off and states that he is waiting for the Truss Bid. I am told that they could get me trusses in 2-3 weeks. I patiently wait almost 5 weeks and have heard nothing from Norm. I reach out July 10th asking for an update. Norm apologized that he completely dropped the ball and nothing has taken place for 5 weeks. He provides me with the truss quote July 13th and we pull the trigger to get the trusses made and wood delivered and at that time paid in full. I was going on vacation and coming home July 24th so we scheduled the wood to be delivered the 24th and the trusses to be delivered the 31st. I get home the night of the 24th and as one could probably guess no wood was anywhere to be found. Well Buiders FirstSource is not open on Saturdays. I decided to go to Wheelwright Lumber and pick up the wood myself as I only had that weekend to build the walls and get it ready for trusses the following Friday. Monday comes around and I contact Norm asking what happened and why wood was not delivered. He said in his system it was... Well it wasn't at my house. Never heard what happened there and frankly don't care. I asked to be certain that trusses were on schedule as my walls were now standing and where I live we get some pretty strong wind gusts. Norm stated he didn't want to be in the middle of me and the truss guy (Found out his name is Jon). So Norm was going to have Jon Call me. Jon indeed calls me and tells me that they cant build my trusses. we are 7 weeks in at this point and I am just finding out they can't even build my trusses. You have got to be kidding me. I have paid for the trusses they have sent me the design of the trusses but now they can't build them. This project is a garage expansion and is not a insanely challenging project. It measures 16ft by 32 ft. so in most peoples considerations it is a very small project. No solutions to help me figure out how to get out of the mess I am in because of their lack of competence. I reached out to Burton Lumber and explained what just happened and these guys have absolutely bent over backwards trying to help and get my project completed. In 4 hours I got the bid and am being put on the schedule for getting trusses in 3 weeks. Their field evaluator will be here tomorrow to take final measurements. I can not stress enough for those who are wanting lumber or trusses. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE. They may quote you a good turn time but when you are 2 months in and in the same position I am you will quickly realize that the 2-3 weeks is 2 months and starting over. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR BUILDING NEEDS!
