RML DESIGN

We’ve used RML design for three projects in four years. They have a knack for looking at my many pictures and fine tuning them into a stunning architectural design. I’ve appreciated them bringing their expertise and design experience to our projects. They’re very talented and great to work with. We plan on using them again in the near future.

We started working with Randy October 20, 2020. I had the plans for our addition drawn out with a software program I purchased years ago. I sent him measurements, photos and the layout. I just needed help with the roofing and to double check that everything I wanted was plausible. Here we are in March 2021 and NOTHING has moved forward. When we did get his "plan" back he didn't include the basement (which he said he would) after going over the details and asking questions of why certain things were changed, he acted offended and said we'd just go with what we had sent him. Extremely unprofessional. Portia was the only bright spot! She was always helpful and would respond promptly. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! Services: Remodelling, Consultation

Randy and Portia have been awesome to work with. They're very open to what my wife and I want done with our future home, work very quickly and their designs are absolutely gorgeous.

If it’s your first time building a home stay away from this company. They don’t care if your house is functional. They just take your money and make you a trash house plan. It was our first house that we’ve built. Our bathrooms and closets are a joke. He put plumbing coming out of the foundation at the bottom of our basement stairs. Seriously if it’s your first time building and you’re not sure what to look out for, don’t use these guys. I’m worried that we won’t even be able to sell our house because of the design.

I enjoy collaborating with Randy and his staff to design custom plans for my clients. He has the ability to design in several different genres, which I am experienced enough to know is rare. When the design process is a bit slower or tedious because we ( I) may take time to study the options or require changes to be made, Randy doesn’t complain or try to talk us (me) out of it, nor does he charge unfairly because of it. The RML team understands that building a custom home requires time and patience. This approach to home building is a bit unorthodox -choosing a builder first, then drawing a custom plan as a team from scratch - but has proven successful to multiple happy customers.
