Not a fan of American Family Insurance. My basement flooded a couple weeks ago. I'm not an expert what so ever in this category of damages. A restoration company came and assisted. I mentioned to the insurance adjustor what had occurred. Because I mentioned what I thought was "mold" in the conversation (because I saw a little bit of something while going over the other damages) my coverage for the damages went from $630k to $10k. When I talked to the restoration company about my concern for being able to pay them for the work that will be required, they said the "mold" was so insignificant that they wouldn't have even mentioned it and that they would try and communicate that to the insurance adjustor. My claim has been closed and a check has been issued. Hopefully it covers the damages and replacement materials necessary. If anyone has to file a claim, don't answer any questions and hand the adjustor off to a professional so you'll at least have a chance to get what your homeowners insurance premium is worth.

I love my personal insurance manager. I have several businesses to cover and they respond within a timely manner. Plus I love being their neighbor.

I seriously considered switching insurance companies because of the horrible costumer service Ive received from this office. The calls are never answered by the agent from this office so theres a lot of going back and forth and dealing with a third person agent. When I do get a hold of the front desk lady, she is just unpleasant and difficult to work with. American family is great but I dont recommend working with this office
