My mom has been living at Legacy for almost a year. I asked her recently for her thoughts about Legacy. A few months ago she fell and was thankful that within moments of pushing her help button (given to each resident to wear) she had help. This helped her feel secure. She likes the food and loves playing Bingo. These were some other thoughts she had: -Friendly staff-everyone knows your name -Easy to make friends -Fun daily activities -Field Trips, even if you are the only one on the bus -Clean -Fun holiday and seasonal decor One suggestion to make the facility more home-like: -clean the grounds, there are lots of weeds My siblings and I try to visit our mom regularly, and we appreciate that we also feel welcome. We enjoy sitting in the lounge area where there is room to play card games and chat. The pool table is also fun for us.

I work with 1-800 GOTJUNK! I would love to give a huge shout out to Sarah Carr, she was absolutely amazing to work with! My partner and I helped the staff out with some minor junk removal. Friendly staff and residents!! I would love to be able to go back and help with any needs that they may have! Fantabulous experience!

Moving my sister-in-law with early-onset Alzheimers over 800 miles from Oregon into Legacy Village in Provo, has turned out better than I ever imagined. She was often nervous, and struggled to remember and function prior to this move. After 6-months at Legacy Village, I have yet to see her be upset or anxious even once. The staff and other residents have made her feel at home, and she is continually thanking me for helping move her here. I am familiar with other care facilities, and must say the services and accommodations at Legacy Village in Provo are excellent; and things have turned out better for us than expected. Wayne Goates

My dad was only there a few weeks and then he passed away. In no way am I blaming this facility for his passing, he was battling parkinson's disease for years. However, I was not happy with his stay overall in the memory unit. Each time we visited him he stated he was sitting down most of the day in a wheelchair in his room. My dad needed to be rotated from his wheelchair to his bed and back throughout the day due to the pain he was experiencing. The staff wasn't doing much for him on this note. In addition, they weren't providing him with his meds at the proper times or as instructed. The med management organization was definitely lacking from a quality facility. The housekeeping staff kept claiming to my mother and sister that my dad was out of clothes and they didn't know where the clothes were being kept. When visiting, my mother and sister would show them all the clothes in his closet and in bins clearly marked with socks, shorts, pants, etc. There were always plenty of clothes available even when staff claimed they couldn't find any. The day before my dad passed my sister went to see him and he was wearing clothes that weren't his. They mixed up the clothes and gave my dad someone else's clothes. In addition to that, when we packed his room after his passing we couldn't find multiple bed sheets and clothing items my mother provided to them when my dad was moved in the facility. I'm not sure how you lose that many items, but obviously whoever is in charge of that is not organized at all. I can't say anything for the rest of the facility, just the memory care unit. However, from our short experience in that unit, we do not recommend this place to take care of anyone needing extra help.
