Blackdog Stone & Landscape

John of Blackdog Stone & Landscape designed and built an extensive backyard stone pathway, patio, stairs, conversation pit, and retaining wall system behind my home that has given our family endless enjoyment. We incorporated some Corten Steel walls with the stone, and the work he did was beautiful. He also built a 300 foot long drystone wall along our driveway and did the exterior masonry on our home. He does excellent work, in a professional manner, on time and on budget.

I would highly recommend Blackdog! They helped us redesign an outdoor hardscape patio space, add gorgeous metal planters, and pour a new concrete driveway. The design plans were professional and well thought out. The communication throughout the project as well as the timing and execution of the plan was excellent! Everyone was easy to work with and punctual. We are extremely happy with the finished product!!

I contracted with Blackdog Stone and Landscape on a large project to move and landscape my driveway. Their work was topnotch from beginning to end. John did a fantastic job upfront on the design and engineering to get the project estimated and started, and then Tiffany followed up with superb work on the landscape design. Then, once everything was in place, Jonathan (the construction manager) provided excellent service throughout the duration of the project from start to finish. Blackdog provided all the drawings, permits and inspections necessary, relocated the water main and other utilities to bring my property up to current county building code, and reduced the steep slope of my driveway by one third. Jonathan was very cost and budget conscious at every step, keeping me informed of progress and issues throughout, and Blackdog's bills were transparent so that I could easily follow along. My driveway is now lined with beautiful aspens and pines and a new stonewall along the walkway to the house. It was a rather large and complex project on a challenging hillside, but well worth the cost and effort. I'm so glad I found Blackdog Stone and Landscape. They did a wonderful job at a reasonable cost, and I highly recommend their work. Gary Sullo

John and team completed a landscape plan for a large addition to our house. The plan included redoing sprinkler system, design of shrubs and trees, and large grass area. The project was completed on budget and on time. Blake and Linda Fisher
