This is should probably be a 1 star review, but Im giving it 2 because most one star reviews are customers that dont want to pay a bill. Thats not the case here. Bulletproof Marketings (aka Local Spotlight Marketing Agency) strategy is sound. Nathan presents well and is knowledgeable. He also comes with a background in the Restoration industry, so that was appealing. My company hired Nathan about a year ago to do SEO work, and last summer we increased our services to include Bulletproof writing articles and posting them in a media room on my website that they created at my request. We spent over $23,000 with Bulletproof during the last year. But there was a catch that I wouldnt discover until terminating services in January 2022. One that left me feeling misled and taken advantage of. I share my experience so business owners might avoid suffering a similar fate. SEO is a long-term investment. As a business owner, you expect every dollar to have a lasting effect. And it should. But some SEO companies find ways to unravel what you paid for if you terminate services. Bulletproof is one of these companies. Heres what happened. The media room I paid Bulletproof to create was to show case publications and it began filling it with articles I was paying them to write. I have now learned that this showcase was only a mirage. Using some technical wizardry, none of the content was actually present on my website. Even more troubling, it was all connected to a kill switch that had Nathans finger on the button. With this kill switch, much of the work I thought would be permanent would vanish when I decided to terminate services. When they hit the kill switch, my media room was gone. All the articles I paid forgone. When I asked Nathan for an explanation, he simply replied thats how it works and hung up on me. I was shocked, because I hadnt seen this coming. Bear in mind the importance of published articles and citations in the SEO world. With the articles gone from my website, the value of those citations is greatly diminished or useless. In essence, I was starting over and $23k in SEO work down the tubes. If I were starting over with Bulletproof, heres what I would do to protect myself: 1. Copyright laws protect the author unless there is a contract that says otherwise. So, require that any article, publication, citation, press release, etc., for which I paid Bulletproof to author and publish, all of that content, would have copyrights transferred to me. 2. Make sure the contract requires all SEO work performed by Bulletproof to be permanent and will not be tampered with or disabled without my consent. This should include articles, publications, citations, and all onsite coding, at a minimum. 3. Make sure the contract requires that all SEO coding is to be done onsite, on my domain and URL, and not with a fancy back door code that allows Bulletproof to create optimized webpages that masquerade as your domain but reside elsewhere. In fact, no sneaky coding of any kind and that all website optimization take place on the website. 4. Make sure that there isnt a way to be held hostage for payment in perpetuity for a hosting platform that maintains SEO work done by Bulletproof. Get all the work done on my website directly. 5. Finally, I would document everything. Most of what I worked out with Nathan was done over the phone. But on one term, I had negotiated a 10 day termination instead of the 15 day that Bulletproof wanted. When I terminated, Nathan attempted to reimagine that term and fortunately, I had an email regarding the exception. SEO is an important component of business marketing. You can avoid making the same mistakes that I made by taking advantage of the lessons I learned above. If I had taken these precautions and enacted these tweaks to the contract at the start, I would be leaving a higher review. But I didnt know, and Bulletproof took advantage of my ignorance. Dont make the same mistake that I did.

I have been in private practice for over 25 years. I have used numerous marketing companies/agencies with very little results and a lot of expense! Nathan and his team are beyond good at what they do. They are extremely professional, not pushy, and get incredible results. There online marketing is second to really no one out there! When I was first approached by Local Spotlight Marketing I was at a point in practice where things were good and didnt feel I needed new patients or any advertising at all! That was before looking into what Nathan and his team had to offer! I never have seen anything like this type of service before. I believe they do all types of businesses. If you are looking to do little to no work/expense and have your business and online presence grow exponentially, call these fine people. You wont be sorry! My only regret, is not meeting with Nathan 20 years ago
