Had my wedding here, everything was perfect until the actual weekend of. The owner never showed up to do a walk through. The housekeeper comes on their own, but never came. The kitchen floor, counters, stove, and sink, all had food on them. The showers looked like they had never been cleaned. Found a fishing hook in one of the beds. We pretty much had to clean the entire lodge and cabins ourselves before we had guest come stay. There were spiders everywhere. The grounds are pretty but thats maintained by other people. The rv water hookups smelled awful. When we got ready to leave another guest showed up for their weekend to stay. They were mad that we there still cleaning up after ourselves considering how much we were already set back from cleaning the place to be able to stay in it. We had stripped the bedding off the beds to be cleaned by the housekeeper who never showed up to clean before this guest arrived and the guest was mad at us for not leaving our used sheets on the beds. Told that if they found any dog poop not picked up we would be charged but we did a grounds walk when we first arrived and there was already dog poop all over the grounds. The windows and fireplace had handprints and food/splatters all over them. One of the cabins had a whole in the floor. This place is great for the price if you dont mind staying in another persons filth and I think most of the people who have stayed recently just didnt care about that. Make sure the owners are there to do the walk through when you arrive. My mom will be also writing a review with photos:) Rooms: Housekeeper either never came to clean or they just did a half fast job doing it. Safety: Whole in the floor of one of the cabins, spiders covering the cabins and lodge like they dont stay on top of pest control.

We have been coming to Little Bear River Retreat for nearly 20 years for our Jacobson family reunion. There is a reason why we haven't changed its location in all of this time, and it's because this place can't be beat. It's set in a beautiful location with trees that offer plenty of shade and large grass fields. The outdoor patios are covered as well and make a great place to relax and connect with others. The lodge is well equipped with bathrooms, showers and an updated kitchen that has everything you will need. It offers hotel rooms, cabins, and great sites for RVs and tents to be set up. We have loved the time that we have spent hear over all of these years and we look forward to many more years to come!

We attended our Nieces wedding and reception here. The setting is beautiful. Grounds were lovely. Flowing river added to the ambience. A beautiful covered patio for DJ and his music and dancing. A bit off the beaten path if you follow Google maps coming from the south. Google directed us to travel a one lane dirt road several miles with precipitous drop offs. A bit of a scary drive. One you definitely would not want to drive after dark!! On the way home we headed north to avoid the dirt road. A bit longer drove but much safer. Walkability: We chose parking in a dirt lot which had gravel to walk on. But the ground was level so there was not a problem to get to the reception area. Noteworthy details: We were not there to use any of the rooms. We were there to enjoy a beautiful wedding reception.

We love the little Bear River Retreat for our large Jacobson Reunion. It can accommodate our very large group of nearly 100 people with ease. The remodeled kitchen with oversized refrigerator and professional grade gas ranges make it so convenient to prepare our meals. There is even covered patios and gas grills outside. We enjoy the well maintained yard around the lodge as well as two large bathrooms with showers, family cabins, three studio apartment rooms and several RV hook ups. The value is outstanding for all of the accommodations and the quiet surroundings of this resort in Paradise Utah. This year is our 19th year for holding our reunion at Little Bear River Retreat and we hope to return here for many more years to come. Noteworthy details: Large kitchen with oversized refrigerator and professional grade gas ranges
