Aspen Grove is an amazing resource in our community. As a mental health therapist, I feel very grateful for all of their services from inpatient to their Intensive Outpatient Program. It puts me at ease to know that clients I refer are in good hands. Highly Recommend. Thank you Aspen Grove!

I admitted myself to Aspen Grove Behavioral Hospital for suicidal ideation caused by medication I had just started taking. The psychiatrist there, Dr. Brinley, was an monster. Our first visit he essentially told me that everything that was going on was my fault and that I was creating fake reactions to medication. He took no time to get to know me, and forced me on medication I wasn't comfortable taking. I admitted myself voluntarily and they refused to let me leave. I eventually filled out an AMA and was forced to 3 months of commitment and almost 3 week stay in the facility. I was put on abilify and invega during my stay there. Two medications that I also tolerated incredibly poorly. This facility did nothing to help me. I received more care from the techs and other patients than I did from any psychiatrist or nurse. Absolute joke of a facility.

Aspen Grove Medical Facility's handling of patient communication and care falls short of expected standards, raising concerns about transparency and patient support. - Communication Failures: The facility's communication protocols are severely lacking, as evidenced by a case where a patient's designated emergency contact was not informed of their admission or treatment plan. This failure to involve support networks in the care process can have detrimental effects on patient well-being and family involvement. - Lack of Transparency: Aspen Grove's reluctance to provide the patient's emergency contact with information about the circumstances surrounding the patient's admission and transfer raises questions about the facility's commitment to transparency and accountability. - Isolation of Patients: Patients at Aspen Grove may experience feelings of isolation due to limited opportunities for communication with external support systems. This aspect of patient care requires improvement to prioritize patients' emotional well-being during their stay. Overall, Aspen Grove Medical Facility's deficiencies in communication and patient support detract from the quality of care provided. Urgent action is needed to address these issues and restore trust in the facility's ability to prioritize patient well-being and adhere to ethical standards. Currently in the process of finding a qualified attorney to handle the situation.
