Our family decided to head to Salt Lake City for a few days for the end of Spring Break on a whim. We did not realize that the NCAA tournament was going on and many hotels in SLC were sold out or very pricey. It worked out great for us as we found our hotel of choice for now on when visiting SLC. Prices here were very reasonable and the every member of staff I encountered from check in to check out was super courteous and made me feel like they genuinely wanted us to be staying in their hotel. Natalie at the front desk was extra great! My 8 and 9 year old boys loved the pool and played in there for hours. I think it was all the inflatable balls that kept them entertained. Breakfast burrito in morning was great. Gym was clean and was sufficient for my normal workout. Rooms were clean. The location is a minute from the interstate and next to tons of restaurants so it turned out to be very convenient and a short drive to everything we wanted to do. Rooms: Clean

This was actually one of the worst Marriott experiences we've ever had. The room was filthy. Chunks of human waste (appeared to be vomit) around the outside and base of the toilet. The shower appeared to not have been cleaned in days, maybe weeks. Dirt and residue were settled around the drain and at the floor of the shower. The caulk throughout the entire room was cracking and dirty, and there were open holes into the walls. When my wife and daughter woke up, there were ants throughout the entire room, with dozens in the bathroom. It felt much closer to an Econo Lodge or a Motel 6, and you have no business charging $150 to $200 a night. In its current state, that's a $50 to $60 a night budget motel. You should be embarrassed to put guests in that room. I would have a serious talk with your cleaning crew, and strongly consider giving a handy man an afternoon to re-caulk the entire room. It's absolutely unacceptable in its current condition. 100% not up to Marriott standards. Rooms: I can't speak to all room, and hole this was an isolated incident, but our room was filthy and ant infested.
