My dog came to mountain west with multiple bite wounds from a dog attack. They took such great care of her and were very thorough with recovery instructions and in helping me understand what was going on with the wounds. She had to go back many times and it usually took 1-4 hours for her to be seen and taken care of. I felt comfortable leaving her there and trusting the team at mountain west. This is the second time my dog has had to go to an emergency vet, but first time at mountain west. I feel like they were more affordable and thorough than my experience at the Salt Lake emergency vet.

My daughter took her senior dog Harvey here for an ear hematoma, for which she paid $900 to have drained, and cleaned etc. When she got her dog back, he now has two hematomas with a stitch in the middle of them, instead of one larger hematoma. They also gave a no flap ear wrap that was two small and not properly fitted. She messaged back and forth with them, and they just said to bring him back for a recheck which would cost ANOTHER $60 minimum to examine it. This is wrong, as they did the initial surgery. They should evaluate my daughters dog for free because they didnt help it, they just made it worse and more of a traumatic experience. We will not be going back and we are fighting to get a refund to help offset the cost of another vet to correct the poor pups ear issue.

They took such incredible and detailed care of my sweet baby, Amor! She had to be admitted for a few days and the doctors and doctors assistants kept us in the loop the whole time. We talked to them on the phone several times a day with all of the updates on our kittys health. She had around the clock care, and they found a couple of different diagnosis, when our typical vet saw her twice in a span of a few days and quickly dismissed her symptoms and our concerns both times. Also, BUFFY NEEDS A RAISE! Buffy was so sweet and real with us. Buffy was always cheerful on the phone with us and when our kitty was released. Buffy even told us about how they loved Amor and they could tell she wasnt herself when we first brought her in, but when she started feeling better, they told us some details about her personality that gave us comfort that she was being well cared for and well-loved. It was clear to us that Buffy and the staff were treating Amor as if she was their own and I couldnt express my gratitude enough for that. THANK YOUUUUU!!!!
