I worked for them for about 3 months. It was really busy until winter came. The main guy that was hiring said that this year they would have much more work then in winters past because there was 87,000 yards of concrete that needed to be done in Tremonton. Never once went to pour concrete at whatever plant was supposedly being built in Tremonton. The winter time you're lucky to get 20-25 hrs. Which isn't great. Was told numerous times that this wasn't just a job it could be a career! Yeah $600 a week isn't even a good job. The truck I was given was the oldest one in the fleet. It had many things that were dangerous about it. Was told I couldn't get another truck (that was safe) until I earned it. Thought it was ironic that they made sure you always wore a hard hat and safety glasses cause it was company policy. But wouldn't fix the air brakes on my truck to keep me from rolling down an incline and crashing the truck or even worse possible injury or death. Had to stand on the brakes for 20 mins, two different times while the concrete was being poured into a pump truck. Never worked at a job where you had to earn the tools you needed to do a job, especially to do one safely. Had a mechanic that would seem to fix the trucks of the people he liked. There was a lot of bad politics I have never seen before. Liked all the other drivers but the upper management seemed toxic. They sure liked to dangle carrot in front of you but when it came to getting the carrot, they would deny that the carrot had even been offered. So if you want to make $600 a week in a very old truck with a little bit of toxic politics mixed in. This is the place for you! Well now you know why they are continually hiring.
