        There was a small rock chip in our windshield and took it to Safelite to be repaired. The tech ended up cracking the windshield so that it will have to be replaced. He acted like it wasn't a big deal and said they could replace the glass. Not ever doing business with Safelite again. He didn't even offer an apology.

        They did come on time. They communicate well. Overall the experience would have been great except for leaving trash in my driveway. I am a renter and after the install the installer left some kind of steel wire and glue and a glue brush. My landlord just put in the new driveway this summer and was not happy with the glue stuck to his driveway. In addition they left a card stating a vacuumed car. Cleaned inside and outside of windows.... They definitely didn't clean the big suction cup marks of my driver's door window. I am probably being picky. But I waited 12 days for an appointment to have them over promise and under deliver.

        Its been about two months since we got a new windshield and Ive now noticed that a windshield wiper bolt cover is gone, an internal clip for some plastic is missing, and a rubber piece that connects to the car is broken.

        I had 2 rock chips fixed. I only knew of 1 when I went in but the other one was recognized and both were fixed. The person who did the work was careful and conscience. I appreciate the attention to detail.

      Thank you for contacting our office. While we do have a very high success rate with our repairs, there is no way to determine how the already damaged glass will react to the repair process. The outcome of a repair is affected by many factors, including but not limited to: - The age of the damage - The size and location of the damage on the windshield - Glass is a sensitive and unpredictable materialOur chip repairs are done to preserve the structural integrity of the glass and not for cosmetic purposes. If the repair fails i.e. starts to crack out further or is not visibly pleasing; Safelite offers a money back guarantee where we will credit the cost of the repair toward the replacement of a new windshield; however your deductible or out of pocket cost would apply.
