image The only reason I reserved this hotel was because the photos of their gym showed that they had 75 pound dumbbells which is very rare. After the easy check in process I took a pic inside of their gym and it indeed had 75 pound dumbbells. Aside from that, the rooms were clean and the walk in shower was convenient. The complimentary breakfast they provide was basic, but they had oatmeal for me which is all I need. Had a great view of the mountains as well from my room. Would highly recommend this hotel.

image Not the best stay. Hotel wasn't awful, but could use some work. The staff was friendly. They had a nice setup for breakfast. The lobby was clean and inviting.
My friend made this reservation for us. She had a funeral to attend and needed me to drive her from Nevada to the Salt Lake City area to attend. She was the one who booked the room for 2 nights. I've never stayed at a Hampton Inn before. I've stayed at similar types of hotels however. Some better than others. While our room looked pretty good at the surface, the bathroom sliding shower door was off kilter and would not stay closed. It opened slowly so you didn't notice until there was a big puddle of water on the floor. The corners of the tile in the bathroom floor were dirty. The faux drawer pull next to the toilet on the vanity was missing. The peek hole privacy cover would not stay closed and I had to put a tissue in it. Also, it was winter time, cold and snowing, and there were no blankets in the closet. It wasn't until we were leaving, I opened a drawer and saw extra pillows in one of the drawers. I don't recall if I saw any blankets. This would have been a good time to put the extra warm blankets on the bed or in the closet are they might be easier to find, instead of hiding them away. I had to suffer through my friend turning up the heat in the room because she likes being snug, which ended up being stifling to me. The blankets would have solved this. We had not come to sightsee unfortunately, and the weather was bad, so other than eating our meals out then going back to the room, we mostly watched TV. TVs must not be a big priority to Hampton Inn. Maybe a lot of people don't stay very long in the room. It seems they skimped a bit on this feature and it seemed pretty outdated. There was no printed channel guide list for the television. We finally figured out a certain channel was the guide, only to find very few channels available. The television had a very pink hue and it was a small TV. The worst part of the stay was for 2.5 hours, until almost 11pm at night, the night before we were to be driving hours home in the snow, a child ran back and forth in the room above us, jumping from bed to bed and off of it with a hard thump over and over. I couldn't sleep and my friend kept being jolted out of bed every time the kid hit the floor. I honestly should have called down to the front desk. It was that bad. After the first 2 hours I thought for sure it was going to stop. But it didn't. I think a good policy would be if you have a room with kids, don't put them above someone else if possible. It was not busy at the hotel so they certainly could have found a room where they weren't near neighbors. 1st floor would be best. Not all parents are considerate. I have never allowed my kids to run themselves to sleep as these parents obviously were doing at everyone else's expense.... and certainly wouldn't do it at a hotel. Hotels need to take into consideration that kids are loud and place them in specific rooms accordingly... for the sanity, and comfort of other guests. I know you can't fix what you don't know is broken. And that's on me for not contacting the front desk when it bypassed a half hour and became an bigger issue. Like I said, I kept thinking, this kid has got to finally fall asleep at some point. I'm a parent and I am pretty understanding when it comes to that and honestly, it got to be quite laughable at some point just considering the kids stamina. Every time my friend would wake up I'd say 'can you believe this has been going on for an hour and a half now?' and so on. 'The energy this kid has! I wish I had it!' I guess that's the problem with staying in hotels you can't choose your neighbors.
Overall, the hotel was not a bad place to stay. I think there were small small maintenance things that could have helped in the room and an upgraded TV and better satellite dish provider would be a nice touch. With some attention to detail items thrown in, like the access to blankets and a channel guide, I think that could be a big plus to your guests.
