I love Summit Academy! I have worked for the school for 6 years now and it has been a great experience. I know that the administration cares about the students growth and wants to see the school be successful and produce happy, caring, well-rounded, and smart individuals. Im grateful to work at such a great place! Id recommend Summit to anyone!

Alright listen up parents and students, some of these reviews are out dated, 1 we have a new principal who is the most sweetest there, the counselor will get things done asap- Im on a 504 plan and they take it serious , I am sorry for all those kids who went there years ago- but as I will says this school has small classes amazing staff and I love being in the music program, last year they took out some class activities because a kid left the school of being bullied ever since that day no one had left the school since, thank you summit for impacting my life and helping everyone out.

I am a parent of a child with a learning disability.  When I read the message from - Valued C. from 6/29/2018, it felt like she was trying to vent, based on her experience.  I value people's opinions, understanding also that they may be in a frustrated state as I'm sure that Valued C. was when writing her comment, which amplifies the feelings that she is trying to convey.  In saying that, it sounds like she's had unpleasant experiences with the staff, in trying to provide her child with the best schooling she can get them, going to a Charter school, which she put a higher value on than public school. As I mentioned, I have a special needs child as well, she's a wonderful child and as a parent of a special needs child, all I want in this life, is to take care of her and make sure that feels valued by her friends, our families, her school mates, her teachers, the faculty and in the future, we pray each day that she will be able to make a difference in this world that already has so many problems.  Like Valued C., right now at her age, we want to be able to get her the best school experience that we can provide her with.  I came to the Summit Academy web page, in order to look at the school, what is offered, how other parents have liked the school, etc.  I read her message and the reply that Ara M. replied to her with and it felt to me based on the wording, that Ara M. was defensive, rather than understanding.  I get that she wants to defend the place that she works and loves, but feel that she should have been more understanding.  Her reply was 10 months after the message Valued C. provided, but Ara M. wanted to reply with a statement that "the school is a good place to go for an education", then went on to explain that Summit Academy "does not expect it to be quiet as a mouse thanks", adding what many readers could imagine as being belittling: which is how I thought of it.In total, as I looked at the school, it looks like a great Charter School, that pushes the students to greatness.  I don't believe that I will be sending my child with special needs to this school.  My reasoning behind this is not because of Ara M., because she's the type of person my child will always run into, we all do.  Ara M. may have been having a bad day, she may just not like getting called out about the way someone felt about what she had done.  We all have Ara M's. in our day to day life, those of us out in the world, need to find coping skills to deal with the Ara M's. of the world that might be having a bad day and want to take it out on others, that are in a position of weakness.  I would love to send my child to a Unicorn school, but they are not out there.  I want to be able to push her, but not so far past her limit that she believes that she is a failure each day.  She needs a place that she believes that she is incredible at, a place where she's able to go home each day feeling incredible about herself, even though whenever she's out in the real world, she will meet Ana's and will learn to deal with them as best she can.  When I am no longer able to keep her in our safe space, able to heal the wounds of the world and tuck her in to bed at night, I pray that the world will be a better place, so we can find a way to see the differences in our society as strengths and seek to help those in need, rather than defending our archaic beliefs that we are able to laugh at those less fortunate than ourselves.
