Holiday Inn Express & Suites Salt Lake City N - Bountiful, an IHG Hotel

Very poor service. No water during a remodel which I was not informed off before my company pre booked and paid for room!! To top things off they doubled charged for the room! My company already paid for the room then when I gave my card for incidentals "" they charged the entire stay on my personal card! Now I guess I'll have to wait for a refund again! This has happened to me on a few occasions now. Poor customer service. Last stay and my company will be booking rooms elsewhere from now on. Very poor service. Told my kids for multiple weeks after reserving this hotel that we would go swimming with their friends. Also had our friends reserve at this hotel. Show up to be informed that the pool is closed on a Saturday and that we cant have a refund because we booked through a third party site. We literally only looked for a hotel with a pool and didnt pick others because they didnt have a pool. Management should have communicated this to people staying prior to arrival so we could adjust our plans.

They are remodeling but there was no mention of it even I checked in. The rooms weren't finished and it looked like they just rushed things to get people in (they still had blue painters tape on walls and no towel racks in bathroom). The TV's were small and half the channels didn't work. Breakfast was average. The people I interacted with were friendly, that's why I gave a 2 star instead of 1.. The room was full of stains, the fixtures and appliances wearing out, some light switches did nothing, one light bulb had burned out, and some outlets did not work. The price was right and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a very "OK" experience, but I will probably shell out for a better one in the future.
