        I didn't love the design Luke came up and was clear with him about that throughout the process. But that is not the purpose of the review. I discovered recently (after delivery of the design) that he used a publicly available font to design my name-based logo. I wasn't happy about it and sought clarification. As opposed to a polite and respectful response, Luke became very defensive and argumentative. I was very surprised by this. Given his experience, I was expecting a little more professionalism. I will not be re-hiring nor recommending him.

He listened to what I was describing and created a beautiful and functional website. Luke communicates fast and effectively.       Allan, I’m sorry. I felt like you were attacking the quality and integrity of my work, and despite my best efforts to explain things, you were disregarding what I had to say; so I became defensive. Instead of rehashing it over email, I should have called you so we could have discussed it more effectively and cleared up any misunderstandings between us. That was my fault.To give context to your review for those reading, existing fonts are used all the time in logo design. A simple Google search of “fonts used in famous logo designs” makes this pretty clear: it’s industry practice that the text in logos comes from fonts, just like a custom home builder uses wood. Please know I stand by the quality and integrity of the work I gave you: it was custom and unique and professionally-made. I’m still disappointed and apologize that I did a poor job of explaining that to you, and wish you well in the future!
