Just wanted to thank the workers who so efficiently fixed our broken water main at 650 west on July 25th.we refer to firemen and police as heroes but these guys are also. Thank you again whoever you are

I moved to American Fork several months ago. Since moving in I have been to this building 4 times. The first time I went I was reminded of the government bureaucracy typical of all government facilities...they were closed. On a Friday at Noon. Closed. When they are open (Monday - Thursday 7:30 to 5:30pm) they are great. Very helpful staff always staff the window and they are helpful and friendly. I picked up sandbags here recently, and I explained my reasons for needing more than the 25 allotted per household, and they were willing to help me out. I wanted to go fill my sandbags on a Friday afternoon - "Sorry! We are closed." Saturday? What better day of the week to go and fill some sandbags (especially in light of recent flood danger)? "Sorry, closed again!" They run on the times that are convenient for THEM, not at times that are convenient for the citizens of American Fork. Again, welcome to government.

Not happy with public works at the moment. Each month I call in and ask for a paper bill. They say night very nicely to call express bill pay on the line and they will help you. How about you three way them in for me and we get it taken care of. Then they proceed to tell me they will send a bill. I believe the purposely dont send it so if forces me to call Xpress Bill pay. Maybe I dont want to do that. Maybe I like a calling and getting you to email me a bill. Anyway I still gave a 3 star because I appreciate our police and fire department and the rest of the city has been fine.

The folks at AF Public Works are amazing! Their operation is super efficient and they're more than willing to help with anything you need. I just finished my basement by myself, and going through the permit and inspection process was painless! Everyone I know told me NOT to pull permits, but at the end of the day it was cheap and well worth the money. They aren't out to get you, or hit you with fees. They just want to make sure things are done right, and give you advice. Honestly, it's the cheapest advice you'll get if you've never done a project like this before. Every inspection I booked was next day, and the inspectors were friendly as could be. I literally received my Occupancy Clearance form via email within 30 minutes of my final inspection. Overall, couldn't be happier and I'd absolutely work with them in the future! Thanks guys for everything!
