My husband and I have utilized Stevens & Malone a few times over the years for real estate needs with excellent results, but we just finished creating our wills with Mary Kate Brown out of the Wimberley location and things could not have gone smoother! Mary Kate was great at walking us through the process, answering all our questions, explaining legal items we hadn't even considered, and helping us through a very critical part of our estate planning. She made everything simple and the cost was incredibly reasonable for all the work she and her team put into the task. I highly recommend using her and Stevens & Malone for all your real estate and estate planning needs!

Our family has been dealing with Stevens and Malone, PLLC since the early 1980s before the practice was Stevens and Malone, PLLC. Mike Stevens was our attorney when we conducted real estate transactions In the 1980s. We used Stevens and Malone when we sold a business in 1990.
In August 2013 an oncologist at MD Anderson Cancer Center told me I had Stage IV cancer and four months to live if I didnt have treatment. We traveled back to Wimberley to have Mike Stevens and Joe Malone draw up my Durable Power of Attorney, Medical Power of Attorney and Last Will and Testament and all the other legal documents I wanted to be in place to protect and aid my wife in the likely event I would be incapacitated or pass away.
Joe Malone also drew up numerous legal documents for my late mother, who died in mid September at the age of 101 years, three months: Last Will and Testament, Durable Power of Attorney, Medical Power of Attorney and Transfer on Death Deed.
When my mother died, Mary Kate Brown, Associate Attorney at Stevens and Malone, consulted with me as Executor for my mothers estate, outlined a step by step plan to address all aspects of the estate, including recording the Affidavit of Death for the Transfer on Death Deed. She also emailed me what we had discussed in consultation to guide me as I deal with the estate.
My family is going on a half century of Stevens and Malone taking care of us. Mike Stevens, Joe Malone, and Mary Kate Brown (and their hard working Staff) have always had my familys back from the early 1980s to now as I deal with my mothers estate. And, they are striving to chart the best path for my familys future. They are professional, prescient, efficient, collegial and care so much for us in the good times and when we were trying to walk out of The Valley of the Shadow.
