Im posting this review as a guest so I can or speak for the event as an organizer but considering how great our time was at The Ranch, it seems like it was a great venue for folks running the show working with the owners and staff.
As a guest, I could not have loved a location more. All of the facilities and buildings were well appointed and flexible for our various needs for the weekend. I could see this location working great for anything from corporate retreats to a really special wedding.
I especially loved the pool time, having a bar, shade, loungers, and bathrooms made for everything a group would need for a full day of fun in the sun.
Everything was easily accessible while still feeling spacious. My only feedback would be to get more lighting along pathways and house numbers as it gets dark at night. Im guessing these are in the plan and we were just early birds since everything else was so thoughtfully appointed.
Rooms: These rooms are NICE!!! Good AC, nice linens, and the bathrooms are better than my $3k SF apt. Great water pressure and temperature!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. Our group of 180 friends, along with their kids, gathered at this beautiful ranch for a long weekend to witness the eclipse, and we were lucky enough to be the first to enjoy the new accommodations. Just an hour drive from Austin airport, the scenic hill country landscape felt like something out of a fairytale.
Our cabin was perfect for our group, with two comfortable rooms and a loft that accommodated additional guests. The design was smart and efficient, with all the amenities we needed including a large TV, fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. The bedding was cozy and the blackout blinds made for a great night's sleep. The AC works perfectly by the way!
The shower was a dream, and the complimentary toiletries were a nice touch. A friend invited me to their Yurt and I was amazed by the creative and enchanting design. Attention to detail was evident throughout the property, making our stay seamless and enjoyable.
There were plenty of activities to keep us entertained, from pickleball to bocce ball to giant Jenga. The pool area was fantastic, with a shallow end for lounging and plenty of shade. The two barns on the property were versatile spaces, perfect for events like weddings. The main hall had all the essentials, including an oven, and we even cooked some pizzas there.
The owner was incredibly gracious, and we felt so fortunate to celebrate our friendships and the eclipse in such a special place. Everything we needed was right at our fingertips, curated with care, creativity, and love. I can't wait to return to this wonderful ranch. Highly recommended!
Nearby activities: Venturing out of the ranch, we were pleasantly surprised by the charm of the nearby town of Wimberley. The bustling shops and eateries added a lively touch to our getaway, with friendly locals adding to the welcoming atmosphere. If we needed any additional supplies, grocery stores were conveniently located nearby, making it easy to stock up on anything we may have forgotten. The town had a lot of character and provided a delightful break from our ranch retreat. The Lions clubs also has a wonderful crafts market once a month. We were lucky to experience that too.
